1/ Our work starts with proper preparation.
Planning for the sanding process requires removing furnishing, carpets and coverings to expose wooden floorboards.

Sanding is mostly dust-free but we are diligent and so keep sockets covered and doors sealed
2/ Floor sanding needs floor repair first, removing nails and debris that will ruin equipment and damage wood in the sanding process.

We carry out fire hearth removal for a uniform flooring finish for all rooms.
3/ Wood is a natural material that absorbs and releases moisture.
This constant shrinkage and expansion creates gaps in the wood and has a two-fold effect: It looks unappealing and increases energy bills.
There are different approaches to gap-filling depending on your flooring and we can advise whether wood slithers - custom cut and fitted wood - or resin and sawdust is needed.
4/ We use modern innovative technology in belt sanders, disc sanders, drum sanders and robot sanders for a bespoke sanding process. We determine the grit needed that is determined by the age of the floor in your home.
After sanding the main floors we use an edger to sand the hard to reach flooring. We sweep and vacuum after each grit as particles are driven into the floor. We follow these steps until we reach 80 grit.
